Portail des membres et réadhésion aux régimes

October 20, 2023

We are pleased to announce that effective  November 1st, 2023, your health and dental claims will be adjudicated by Ellement Consulting Group (“Ellement”). All questions regarding eligibility and benefit coverage should be directed to Ellement’s dedicated support line for members of the Electrical Industry of Ottawa Trust Funds at 613-699-8967 or toll-free at 1-866-517-8967 or by email at EIO@ellement.ca.

To begin submitting your claims, online or through the Ellement benefit app, you will need to first register on the Ellement Claims portal, by using your Group Number and Certificate Number noted above or on your detachable benefit card below. You can download the app and set up your account directly from the App Store or Google Play. You may also scan the QR code at the top of the page to download the app. For information on how to register, please refer to the enclosed Ellement Online Claims document. If you prefer to submit your claims manually for reimbursement, claim forms are available on the site or can be obtained by contacting our office.

Please note that all claims submitted after November 1st, 2023 (even if incurred before this date) should be submitted to Ellement. If you have already sent claims to Coughlin, please do not resubmit them to Ellement, rest assured they will be processed. You may want to request a copy of your Explanation of Benefit (EOB) or previous claims information from Coughlin if you need to submit claims to your spouse’s plan or include with your 2023 income tax return for medical expense credit (if applicable).

Prescription Drug

It is important to update your pharmacy with the information found on your benefit cards below. These are your NEW Certificate and Group Numbers. To facilitate the change, we have enclosed a postcard with step-by-step instructions for your pharmacist to update your records. You should also destroy your old Coughlin Express Scripts drug card(s). Those cards will no longer work as of November 1st, 2023, when used at the pharmacy.

Dental

Your dental office must also update your benefit information to submit claims electronically on November 1st using your benefit card and the details found on the enclosed postcard. Please note that the decision to use the electronic claims submission is up to your dentist.

Extended Health and Vision

TELUS Health eClaims also makes it easy for your other healthcare providers (in addition to your pharmacist and dentist) to direct bill for services and the reimbursement paperwork is taken care of for you.

Claims History and Maximums

Please note that your claims history will be transferred from Coughlin to Ellement. If you have already reached your annual maximums for paramedical, vision or dental services, you will not be reimbursed after the transition to Ellement until your limits reset and you requalify for these benefits. You will be able to view your benefit limits and any remaining healthcare spending account balance you may have on the Ellement app.

Direct Deposit for Claim Reimbursements

If you have direct deposit for your claim reimbursements with Coughlin, there is no need to register with Ellement. Your current banking information will be transferred, as part of the transition process. If you have not already signed up for direct deposit or have a change of banking information, please complete a Direct Deposit for Claims Reimbursement Form available on the site or by contacting our office.

In-Person Meetings with Ellement

Ellement’s Ottawa office is located at 1150 Cyrville Road and our team members are available to meet with members in person to answer questions about their benefits and/or pension. Before coming to the office, we ask that members please schedule an appointment in advance so we can prepare ourselves and use your time most efficiently.
